The Apache Blessing

May the sun bring you new energy by day.

May the moon softly restore you by night.

May the rain wash away your worries.

May the breeze blow new strength into your being.

All the days of your life may you walk gently

through the world and know its beauty.

Now you will feel no rain,

for each of you will be the shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,

for each of you will be the warmth to the other.

Now there is no loneliness

for now you are two persons.

...But there are three lives before you:

His life, her life, and your life together.

May beauty surround you both

in the journey ahead, and through the long years.

May happiness be your companion

to the place where the river meets the sun.

Go now to your dwelling place

to enter into the days of your togetherness.

...And may your days be good and long upon this earth.
